Playing through Homesick with FSO, with some ships my shots just kinda go right through.  They'll hit in certain places but not others.  This mostly happens with the Satis, Faustus and Aten.  Also, and the bigger problem, is that portions of my shield just aren't there.  I nestled up to a Cain after taking out its beam and its laser turret shots passed right through my rear shield, no shield flash just me taking damage.  I have mp710_adveffects.vp and all the mv vps installed including the 2 model patches.

Maybe Homesick isn't upgraded to work with FSO.

2 model patches? If you have the Zeta VPs you only need the 710 patch AFAIK. What else do you have?

I have mv_amodelspatch.vp and mv_amodelspatch2.vp... I had the same problem whether they were installed or not.

You don't need them.

Make sure you have activate JPG and TGA textures from the launcher. I can't see why that would affect your shields though.

I suggest checking the data folder for defunct stuff.
