Hugo Chavez yesterday called Bush "the Devil" at the UN. In front of the world. God, I love this man. Even if you don't agree, you have to admire his style.

And watch CNN freaking out, given notice by their own correspondent that many people actually agree with Chavez. By the way, check how CNN's "expert analyst" reffers to Chave's billion dollar Soviet weapons deal. What the ****? Soviet? I think that explains a lot, really, a Freudian slip if ever I heard one.

Show me one politician with the guts to do that. And of those that would, show me one that's not a raving madman. There's just one, and he lives in Caracas.

edit: Ju are a donkey! FTW!

And the angrier people get, the funnier it gets.

I'm curious if they're laughing at him, or with him.

I just think he's an annoying little pecker who's trying to compensate for the fact that his country is up **** creek without a paddle.

But that's just me. ;)

I mean, hell, does anyone actually take this guy seriously?  He's quickly replacing Kim Jong-Il as "dictator parody target of the year." :p

No! No one will ever replace Kim Jong-Il! Am I the only one who hasn't forgotten that he kidnapped people to make a movie for him? The man is amazing. The only other dictator to reach his level of awesomeness was Idi Amin.

Personally I see this as really a showcase of how much UN is a joke, as well as the corespondance between the different nations. Communication doesn't seem to be working anyway, so name calling and all the bull**** is at least entertaining. After all, we know the guy with the biggest nuclear missile rules, the UN is just a cardboard prop with a lot of pointless chitchat. At least he's providing some amusement. Otherwise it's just boring.

the UN can work, we just have to make it work.  if we dont take it seriously and sit around acting like national jackasses, of course it isnt going to work.  if we dedicate ourselves to making a better world instead of a better country, then it will work well.
