So I've got Fred2 Open 3.6.9 and I think all the latest FS2 SCP hoojamawhatsits and after completing Derelict I thought I'd give fredding a go, even just to see how far I could get before I messed up.  Apparently not very far :s

I'm doing the quickstart barebones mission that involved simply adding a mara to destroy.  I've followed the tutorial completely but when I try and run the mission in the simulator I get about six messages that look similar to the first one, here -

If I press okay to the popup it cycles through all the messages until it cuts back to the flight deck but if I cancel it crashes out of it to my desktop.

I've read through karajorma's oracle and other docs but I can't seem to find anything that'll help a noobie out.

You've got FRED2_Open 3.6.9 but have you got FS2 3.6.9?

That error is caused by trying to run a mission from a modern version of FRED on an older version of FS2. Run the launcher and check what you're actually running.

Gyar that be the problem I've been running the scurvy 3.6.7
