Alright, I'm trying to do some renders for loadout art, however TS5 is behaving pretty weird.

When I do any rendering except for render as file it's fine and looks perfect.

When I want to render as file, the textures are replaced with pure black.

It does this on every thing I've tried to render. (Yaaru, Creon, Venom's Ennead, and a few others, also some untextured meshes)

Any idea? I've tried messing with all of the render settings and switching from DirectX to OpenGL render mode...

Yeah, I know what your problem is. You're using TrueSpace.

I could hook you up with something infinitely better, but it would take a big effort on my part, so something to trade or aid in conversions would definitely speed things along. I don't think it's any less compatible with TS than anything else (dxfs) and is simply the best modeler money can't buy, and the third best renderer I've met. [email protected] if you're interested.

Ace, what type of file are you rendering to? I've had some interesting results from using PNG's and trying to view them in software that didn't support all the capabilities of that format 100%. If that's what you're doing, give JPG a try and see if that makes a difference.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

I've had that before.... I think TS5 doesn't recognise the texture links properly or something.  Just re-apply the textures, or you could try making sure a copy of them is placed in the 'textures' folder in the TS5 directory (not done this yet).

Odd...works for me.

I have to convert my (fighters) from obj with 3dex, and this happens to me, but all I have to do is select the textures from thier directory (using the texture 'pick' tool doesn't work) and reapply them, and it renders fine.
