I am decidedly new to Freespace, but yesterday my computer spent all day doing the online install of Freespace 2, and then of course it ran the Java Installer which seems to have completed though it stops immediately after asking about Open AL. So basically, my install appears perfect. Now here's my problem. I configured the launcher (latest version - 5.5a) to find my fs2_open_3_6_9 file, as well as the mod files for the high resolution textures and so forth. I set it up with Open GL, maxed out most of the settings, and double checked joystick and sound settings as well. Now then, when I tell the launcher to run the game, nothing happens! Same story with launching via the actual fs2_open exe. The errorlog.txt seems to be telling the story of what's happening. Here's what it says...

What on earth is causing this? And what can I do to start playing? Freespace 2 itself runs fine without the modifications...
