Before i start *****in i want to say that the upgrade lucks goddam amazing.

Now, I am experiencing 2 issues (though pretty minor in the grand scale of things).

1. Every time i try to open fs2_Open or FRED_Open the following message appears:

If i click OK it works after that but i can't help feeling it will trip me up in the long run.


2. I prefer my HUD icons to be the smaller version and now that i have installed 3.6.9 i cant find how to get them back; the retail version kinda screws with the graphics.

So if anyone could tell me how alleviate these issues i would be highly grateful!

What mediavps have you installed? Have you installed any mods to the main freespace2 directory (or its data directory?)

My mediavps are all the ones that should be there.
As for mods, I have a personal ship.tbl and weapons.tbl in the data/tables folder as well as the inferno vp's in the main directory, also derelict and Transcend folders that came with the 3.6.9 download.

At the moment the HUD icons is my biggest issues as the large ones just plain PISS ME OFF!

Move all the inferno related vp files into a separate directory (create a new one for them). That will solve the icons.tbl issue... Have you got the inferno SCP patch?

Then.. what resolution are you using? If it is above 1024x768 then do you have sparky_hi_fs2.vp in there?
