That's not a green background, that's actually bits of the Freespace 2 Source Code.

Or possibly the SCP's version of it.

I think [DW]-Hunter's got a version of that pic where he stripped out all the extras.

Ask him for it.

He's right about the green background actually, if he pulled one from the media VPs. Those have a green background for transparency, which looks very, very ugly on its own. But that should be easily fixable by simply using the fill tool from windows paint to fill in the green with black, assuming it's extracted to a lossless format so the green has remained the exact same colour in the whole logo.
