Problem: Wingmen are not talking

I'm playing Freespace 2 SCP and I have a problem with my wingmen not having voices.  For example, if one of my wingmen says "That's a confirmed kill", I don't hear his/her voice saying it.  I just see the dialogue. I have the voices setting turned on so I don't know what's wrong.

Do you get any voice at all or is it just your wingmen shouting stuff like "behind you pilot!" that isn't working?

If it's the former do you have stu_fs2.vp in your main folder?
