  • Forsee a new beginning.
I want to download the base pack 3.2 for this project, but I don't have enough time - I'm using the school's internet (my one at home is dailup) and the school's one is about 30kbps (capable of over 100kbps).
Would it be possible to break the download into 50MB parts? Otherwise it will take over 2 hours, and I don't have that much free time.

Help appreciated - thanks in advance.   BTW, i'm really looking forward to playing this, the screenshots look awesome!!!

  • Oceans rise. Empires fall.
If any of the mirrors supports resuming the download with a download manager (GetRight and similar) you may download the entire package partially ...
"As you sought to steal a kingdom for yourself, so must you do again, a thousand times over. For a theft, a true theft, must be practiced to be earned." - The terms of Nyrissa's curse, Pathfinder: Kingmaker

"When you work with water, you have to know and respect it. When you labour to subdue it, you have to understand that one day it may rise up and turn all your labours into nothing. For what is water, which seeks to make all things level, which has no taste or colour of its own, but a liquid form of Nothing?" - Graham Swift, Waterland

  • This site stole my work
He won't have software installation rights. The best solution is to get a friend with broadband to download it and burn a CD. Or alternatively find an internet cafe with broadband and CD burners in the machines, download it and burn yourself a CD. It'll be 1,000,000x easier than trying to download it at school.
Be warned: This site's admins stole 100s of hours of my work. They will do it to you.

Install Flashget at home, then copy the 'Flashget' directory onto a usb drive, run it from there.
I downloaded TBP on dialup, really slow but really worth it!  :D

Meh, use Free Download Manager instead... no spyware!  (If Flashget doesn't have spyware, please correct me, I used to use that program & liked it, but got spyware with it too... maybe bad download?)

Flashget is now freeware (no adware). Free Download Manager isn't bad either, but i prefer Flashget.

Ah, when did they change it?  IIRC, v4.00 had ad-ware.
