(Terran Cruiser) for a mod i think i'm going to start...

just a wip... recommendations for more things to do with the rear?

the large cyls are it's beam weapons, the flat spots (boxes) you see along the top of the hull is where big anticapship batteries will be placed (and not jokes like the THT.. weapons that can do about between 3/4 and 4/5s the firepower of a beam).  there are also 4 cruise missile tubes along the front but you can't see them at this angle. - once i have the rear end finished i'll make and mount the big turrets, then see about distributing smaller ones.

[22:29] <sigtau> Hello, #hard-light?  I'm trying to tell a girl she looks really good for someone who doesn't exercise.  How do I word that non-offensively?

not familiar with the warlock, and it's tall enough right now for a single deck+engineering spaces all the way through the ship, i'd have to check but i think the rear section can accomodate 2 decks + engineering spaces - which for a cruiser is big enough for what i have in mind.

Quote from: Tech Specs
The Barcelona class cruiser is not to be underestimated despite it's age.  The obviousness of it's age with it's massive Mark I beam generators sometimes causes it to be taken too lightly by renegade vessels of newer design, but those vessels quickly learn their lesson when it's other weapons are turned their way.  While the beam compliment on a Barcelona may be outdated and weak when compared to the Mark II beams loaded on newer vessels, the turreted weapons have been upgraded on most Barcelona class vessels in service with the latest in pulse cannon technology.   The Barcelona class also sports four fixed cruise missile tubes, the most of any terran cruiser in service, capable of saturating the point defense of most vessels of similar size and armament.

Weapon compliment
  • 1x Mark I Heavy Particle beam
  • 2x Mark I Medium Particle beam
  • 1x Heavy Antiproton pulse turret
  • 3x Medium Antiproton pulse turret
  • 6x Heavy Meson turrets
  • 7x Dual Flak turret
  • 12x PD* Proton turrets
  • 4x Light Cruise Missile tubes

*PD = Point defense - defense against fighters and torpedos
