How do i set waves in FRED?

How to set waves? And is there a guide for FRED other than the Oracle one? The Oracle one doesnt help THAT much.
edit: nvm. Figured it out. I couldnt set waves earlier cuz I was trying to set up waves for Alpha Wing.
Sorry.
Just don't give away the homeworld...

As for a guide, while in FRED, pull down the "Help" menu, select "Help Topics", and then pick "Walkthrough" from the page that opens up. That will explain the basics.
