Very sad indeed

BTW corrected a small spelling mistake.

"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

He was an Opera Singer, one of a small number to gain a fair degree of public recognition.

The big man was a favorite of my grandfathers, someone he always wanted to emulate when he was signing. Pavarotti frequently filled the house as I was growing up.

As far as celebrity deaths are concerned, this one actually has an emotional impact, makes me miss my grandafather.

Very sad.

Very, very very sad for me, too. As Romano Prodi said, my country lost a great man.

I watched the funeral on TV(quite sad, it was supposed to be a great day...one of my cousins got married), I liked the Frecce Tricolori, who passed right above the Duomo of Modena.

*sigh* :(
