Well Im sexist then, I just dont like having to take someones weapon and clear a jam that would have taken 5 seconds. Or carry a rucksack thats "to heavy" even though its lighter than everyone elses.
Most females just cant physically keep up with males.
I think you might be stereotyping there. I'd fully expect that women in any job where there are demanding physical requirements meet the same standards as their male counterparts. There's a standard and its expected to be upheld. If there wasn't I would be concerned about the armed forces in any country...male or female they have to meet the requirements. Your examples are just an expectation that the opposite sex is somehow inferior.
Thats not to say that there are physical differences and maybe proportionally there is a smaller percentage of females in any given population that will meet the criteria but I certainly wouldn't count them out. Russian female pilots during World War II made a pretty solid accounting of themselves too...produced several aces (this is by the way back at a time when control surfaces were not powered and lots of physical strength was required to fly a plane).
There are many many jobs in the military that females can do, and do them very well.
99% of females will never be strong enough to run around in 50+ lbs of gear and fight hand to hand, and that is exactly what they will be required to do.
Not mentioning what effects having a female in an all male unit will have. Ive seen whole companies contract the same SDT, and thats when their ratio was 10:1
Theres a reason the selection criteria checks for that. Female combat soldiers are screened before, do you think it's some checkmark, "I want to be a combat soldier" and thats it?
like I said 1 out of 100....
