Found a couple of quarks in the scanning features specifically with jettison-cargo

First one is it won't take the optional cargo to jettison.  I've tried both the name of the cargo and the subsystem it is in.  It seems it will only let me add ships.

Second part of the problem is even if I don't specify a cargo it does not jettison it.  Event sequence scan subsystem, jettison cargo, cargo still shows in subsystem.  Even tried setting cargo for the subsystem to unknown them back to known.  Still shows the original cargo.

Try it in a recent build. I vaguely remember seeing a commit to fix at least one of those since 3.6.9.

Just tried Taylor's 10-28 build and can't even get cap-subsys-cargo-known-delay to work.  It doesn't bring up the ship but I can type it in.  When I do that it brings up the list of subsystems.  As soon as I select one it changes both fields to <invalid>.  Also tried the jettison cargo and it does the exact same thing.  When I go to save it says invalid ship name for the subsystem field.  Just jettison cargo also acts the same way.  Still shows original cargo after the jettison.

Additional note:  Just noticed the cap-subsys-cargo-known-delay will allow you to pick at least one ship.  This was back in TBP 3.6.9.  A Nova will show up in the list.  If you type in an alternate ship and then choose a subsystem it will default back to the Nova and one of it's subsystems.  If you type in both ship and subsystem manually it works.  Looks like it got worse in the 3.6.10 builds.  Maybe something to do with the type of ship since it apparently works with the SJ Sathanas in the main campaign.

That's because jettison-cargo-delay jettisons all docked objects, meaning it physically pushes them away from the object without going through the undocking procedure.  If you want to mess with what the cargo containers actually contain, you should use transfer-cargo, exchange-cargo, or set-cargo.

OK then the description in FRED is really messed up.

Quote
jettison-cargo-delay
Causes a cargo carrying ship to jettison its cargo without the undocking procedure. Takes 2 or more arguments...
   1: Ship to jettison cargo
2: Delay after which to jettison cargo (note that this isn't actually used)
Rest (optional): Cargo to jettison.  If no optional arguments are specified, the ship jettisons all cargo.

Rest says cargo to jettison not objects to undock.  Maybe it should be named docked-jettison instead of cargo-jettison.  Talk about confusing.

Just tried the set cargo and that works.  Thanks.

Should I Mantis the Cap-subsys-caro-known-delay problem?
