Hmmm. Not read the short story version of Ender's Game but the novel is brilliant. On the other hand I would have ranked Inconstant Moon way above Neutron Star though.

I'm not sure whether to laugh at that site or simply ignore it, based on its lists of novels and the like.

And some of that is sci-fi only in the loosest possible sense.

The #1 on that list, Nightfall, was actually turned into a good sized book.  One of my favorites.

And where is "Do androids dream of electric sheep?"

My best and most favourite Sci-fi story

Spoiler:
It was the novel the film "Bladerunner" was based on

And why would a novel appear on a list of short stories? :p

How can any such list not have "Hardfought" or "The Wind from A Burning Woman" in it?

Oh yes! I thought actually "Do androids dream of electric sheep" started as a short story,  but became a novel.

Anyway, it's No 1 on the film list!  ;7  :) ;)

Re: Top 100 Sci-Fi stories list
Ok. Nightfall has to be the most overrated short story of all time. Even Asimov himself said he couldn't understand how it got to be so popular. The Ugly Little Boy and the Last Question are by far his best work (aside from the first three Foundation books, of course). And the novel of Ender's Game is way better than the short story. At least Heinlein didn't break the top five.
