I realize y'all've been playin' this game for a decade but I just discovered it. Very cool! I reckon I'm even more interested in the Babylon Project, but I cain't get it to install...the download links don't work. Am I lookin' in the wrong place?

That's the latest version and there isn't a mirror yet.  Download all 8 parts, extract the installer, and run it.  It will look like it freezes at 1% but it doesn't just give it time.

If you were searching the TBP site, then yes. It has died a while ago and there doesn't seem to be a person here, who would have the power to tamper with it. Which is a shame. Ignore the site and scour through the forums here and you'll be alright.

How do you do the spinny thing?

I played the three training lessons in freespace2, then figured I'd rather play the B5 version, so my first actual mission was the start of raider wars. I scored a whopping 2 assists (and zero kills)...and I spent most of the mission pulling back on the stick chasing ONE raider who appeared to be flying circles around me. I never got 'im.

Now in the B5 show and the intro movie a starfury can spin to face the opposite direction from its movement vector and it can do this in about a second. I could've nailed the raider with that move. How do I get my starfury to do it?

It's called glide and you can turn it on by hitting alt-g.  It only works with certain ships though.

change the difficulty to VERY EASY until you get the hang of the controls
