Author Topic: Game won't start (Read 1615 times)

So I have been playing FSO for around a year now and everything was working fine until a few nights ago when out of the blue, my game crashes at startup.
This is the error that pops up:

Error: Missing required token: [#Start]. Found [:] instead.

I am running Taylor's latest XT build, Launcher 5.5d, and the Beta 3.6.10 Mediavps.
Can anyone help me out? I am starting to go nuts from not being able to play.

1. Check that there aren't any extra vps in \freespace\ or \mediavps\.
2. Check that you don't have any random tbl files in any of the \data\tables folders.

Unless old signs are false...

Clear the main inferno vp out from your main freespace (or current mod) directory. Or if you are trying to play inferno R1.. get the SCP fix

Oh, ****. I had the Inf_main vp in the main freespace directory. It must have been when I was trying to get that upgraded Sol: A history by ShadowGorrath to work. Thanks guys.
