It was FS1, so it had no beams or flak. It was quite possible.

Get in an Ursa with Prometheus, 2x Harbinger, and Hornets.  I haven't done it, but I heard that that's the best way to do it.  I use cheats.

The Orion isn't the trouble. It's the practically infinitely respawning Ulysses wings that are the problem.

I completed the Vasudan gauntlet. Destroyed the cruisers and the Typhon destroyer. I was in an Ursa with my secondaries full of Harbingers and Interceptors. But as you can guess, I played it on a low difficulty ( not the lowest though ) .

I usually take either the Herc or the Ulysses to be honest, as I find that the dogfighting takes more of a toll of my health than attacking cruisers and destroyers. Only ever done it on easy mind. As for the Ulysses wings, I usually take out all but one, which means that I only have to deal with him and no more with spawn. What I suppose you could do is bring along a disrupter. If you disabled the last one then you're scot free...

That's lame!  Has anyone ported the gauntlets to FS2_open?  I want to try them out with regenerating hull on all the Terran ships (1% per second).

I play the gauntlets all of the time in FS2_Open.

It is like the first 3 multiplayer missions. If you need to play, host a game in multi, you can play alone.

You don't need to download it, it's already in the multiplayer missions list

I did that. I used infinet weapons but that was only because I altered the mission so I could fly Shivan ships, and unfortunatly Shivans don't have support ships.

P.S. For a challange I had altered one so it took place in subspace and removed all shields.
