Is not working again. Here is the target to my shortcut of FRED2open:

C:\Games\Freespace2\fred2_open_3_6_9.exe -fredhtl -jpgtga -mod Inferno

Where my inferno folder is named Inferno. I tried using the default INFR1 name for the folder but that didn't work either.

Anybody know what's wrong with that target and why I can't mod using Inferno ships?

Also, there is these other executables in there, such as this one called "fred2_open_3_6_10-20071007T.exe" along with it's "fs2_open_3_6_10-20071007T.exe" counterpart. I haven't used FSO in months now, as I've only now got back interested in Freespace, so can somebody tell me what that is?

Those other executables are simply the October 7th, 2007 build of 3.6.10.

They shouldn't be doing any harm sitting in the main folder.

Wait a minute... which version of FSO is the launcher running? If it's a 3.6.10 build, the Launcher might be interfering with the -mod command.

The launcher is running on the widescreen fix 3.6.10 build. Would that be a problem?

EDIT: Nope. It didn't help to choose the 3.6.9. build in the launcher. I don't see how that would matter.

Have you tried using an earlier version of Fred? or the latest?

For some reason now, FRED is affected by the selected mod in the launcher.

Only on 3.6.10 builds and up though. 3.6.9 shouldn't be affected.

That makes sense. I selected Inferno in the launcher and now it works

Dunno about multivoice but the FS2OGGcutscenepack.vp is exactly what the name suggests: the FS2 cutscenes in OGG Theora, packed in a nice little vp to avoid the hassle of placing all the videos to \freespace\data\movies.

multi-mission-pack.vp & multi-voice-pack.vp are the validated multiplayer mission add ons. They're fine in the main folder as they have no tables and use no data that isn't available in retail.
