I am currently a Lieutenant Junior Grade.

I cant possibly imagine getting Admiral in one campaign.

Single Mission kills dont count on my pilot sheet and starting a new campaign erases my kill list.

Can I get rank from new campaigns or single missions though?

Does that only add points or does it artificially increase rank?

it increases rank, but you can set how many points are gained from objectives and ships. Maybe there is a add-point sexp, but i don't FRED.

You could edit how much many points are granted for certain missions if you felt like it.

Make a simple mission with a cargo container, then make it an objective (is-destroyed-delay 0 cargo container) add 1030943942 points to the Objective. Use Shift+C to put it into a campaign. Play the campaign a few times.

It just sets mission briefing...
