Lightning Marshal R1 Mission 1
Is Macfie's fix available somewhere? My knowledge of FRED is severely limited - I could implement that fix, but when I load the mission it's missing all the custom content - weapons, the Liberty itself, etc. Saving it of course gives me no weapons and has the Liberty as a Ulysses, as well as, I'm sure, other things that I haven't noticed. I have no idea how to get it to load with all of that, so a fix would be extremely welcome.
TIA

I made a fix to LMarshal 1 that fixed the problem with the liberty (Unknown Ship) leaving before the mission goals were complete.  The mission had been set up for the NTD liberty to do waypoints once and then leave.  The mission goal required you to destroy gemini wing to protect the Actium.  You are not supposed to be able to destroy the Liberty.  There are 3 waves of Gemini wing and only 2 were being launched before the Liberty departed.  I changed the departure to rely on the destruction of Gemini wing to fix the problem.  I forgot to ask are we trying to keep the campaign compatible with Retail FS2?  I made the changes using Fred 3.6.9

  • If somebody made a campaign I've probably got it

Here it is.  To use Fred2 with FSOpen you should create a shortcut on your desk top.  Then go in and change the properties to "C:\Games\FreeSpace2\fred2_open_3_6_9.exe -fredhtl -mod LM"  (quotation marks not required) or if your folder is named something else like lightningMarshal use that instead of LM.  That will associate Fred2 with the mod.

Normal people believe that if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Engineers believe that if it isn't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.
The difference between Mechanical Engineers and Civil Engineers is:
Mechanical Engineers build weapons.  Civil Engineers build targets
An optimist sees the glass half full; the pessimist sees it half empty. An engineer sees that the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
