Whoever implemented the "backup.###" files in FRED. You just saved me an awful lot of annoyance after a crash and a lot of effort without a save. So cheers

To be honest, I think they've been there since retail days.

But they are very useful indeed when you or FRED screw up a mission file.

Yes, those files were there in retail. I think they're intended to be used for the editor's undo command, actually.

I'm guessing you just rename them until you find the one you want.

And make sure you do it before you start FRED again as it creates more every time it autosaves (Which is quite often actually).
