Apparently it seems effectless on the game.

Open up the mission in notepad and post the section under #Wings for Alpha Wing.

If your using Windows got to the folder where the mission is (games\freespace2\data\missions for example) then right click on the file with the .fs2 extension and select open with notepad.  Do a search for #wing and copy and paste the info for alpha wing.  It's simple text.

i tried to do what karajorma and FUBAR said, but the error either persists or modifies into something like "Alpha wing must have a starting point" (or something similar).
Since the mission belongs to INFASA and can't be uploaded yet i'll try to solve this in the internal or i'll post here an extract from the mission which doesn't spoil too much the campaign.

You pasted over the statrting point info apparently.

Just copy the starting location from another mission.
