Colin Powell - "His name was Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan, and he was an American."

Boystrous 19 year old temp at work slapped me in the face with an envelope and laughed it off as playful. So I shoved him over a desk and laughed it off as playful. It's on camera so I can plead reasonable force.  Temp is now passive.

Amen, Mr. Powell.

This kind of thing needs saying more and more.  When Senator McCain had to correct a woman at one of his rallies who said that Obama was an Arab, the fact that his response was something like "No mam, Senator Obama is a decent person" really spoke to the ugliness of the underlying mentality.

Eh, you've been fooled quite badly at some point because no admins use that account. Rick James is Rick James, there are no other accounts associated with his IP addresses. Unless you believe someone would go as far as to use proxies when posting, which I doubt.

I have a massive amount of respect for Powell.  Since it's starting to look more and more likely that Obama will win this thing, I'm actually rather glad that Powell endorsed him, since he'll presumably have Obama's ear on certain aspects of foreign policy.

This is why I love Colin Powell.

A sane and reasonable voice, finally.

Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.

It's kind of nice to see a little bit of sane reasoning.  Too bad nobody in the party will listen.

It's amazing how old hatreds and sheer paranoia will win out over reason and logic any day of the week in this country it seems. :doubt:
