i am new to the mod thing and i had downloaded the blue planet mod and i got to the first mission and i could not see my shots from my primary weapons i could not switch to the ship selection menu or the weapon menu without lagging out i could only make it to the 5th mission when i got the model error and i could not continue i wish to know did  i miss anything in the downloading? i downloaded the blue planet VP and the nebulae thing but don't know where to put them

also am i missing media files or something please help

1) There is a Blue Planet board down there.
2) Any Blue Planet .vps go to \freespace2\blueplanet\.
3) LS Nebulae go to \freespace2\mediavps\.
4) Blue Planet requires the MediaVPs. Also, you'll need a mod.ini file in your \freespace2\blueplanet\ folder so that the MediaVPs are used. Download one from the bottom of the first post on the Blue Planet release thread.

That too because it is really difficult to get the hang of a post when there are no sentences but a constant flow of text like this one it's almost as frustrating as when I had pneumonia a couple of years ago it sucked like hell I had 39.4 degrees celcius of fever and a terrible cough and my right lung hurt like hell luckily I got some sick leave and antibiotics but it still sucked to experience it and did I mention that there have been cases where people do express their problems with freespace in great detail but cannot punctuate even if their lives depended on it it's frustrating when you have to spend at least five extra minutes figuring out where one sentence ends and another one begins and it sort of lowers the motivation to start helping people if they can't be arsed to express their thoughts more coherently sorta like one of my friends who is utterly incabable of planning anywhere further than 30 minutes there was this one time we were supposed to meet at a bridge and then go drinking but while I was waiting there it started raining and then 15 minutes later he called and said he wasn't coming since it was raining and I said thanks for the info stfu and went home so please if it's not too much trouble try to apply some punctuation to your posts
