How's this for a Shivan voice?

Okay, I got Audacity yesterday adn decided to play around with it.  I started with "V1strt" and ended up with "V1".

Creating Shivan voices is a very interesting aspect of FS modding, but I'm afraid that sound isn't Shivan enough. Well, it may be an unconventional sound(Shivan ship/fighter going down or experiencing serious malfunctions) but it doesn't sound regular to me...

I think the Cylon_sfx from BtRL should serve as a sample of what alien voices should be managed: sounds combined with capitalized message texts, like in the following...

I have a potentally stupid question.  How come it seems no one (including me) can find the shivan voice files that were actually used in the campaign.  Everyone uses the comm node sound.

Which voices? Forgive me, but I don't recall any other Shivan voices...

Well, the Comm Node's sound itself can't be pointed out as a "Shivan voice", either.

If you are referring to the Rephaim (Sp?) then that was also the Comms_Node effect
