Subtitles and cutscene bars acting weird

I'm using the Nightly build  24/11  and I'm noticing something strange:

 - cutscene bars flicker on and off during cutscenes

 - subtitles often not showing up at all, no matter what event I use to call em (time passed, ships destroyed, or I just chain them to another event)

Just FYI guys.
