yeah: keep the names you've choosed. For exemple, to my knowledge, I haven't copyrighted "Banshee"

well i dont wanna cause confusion, some people may get confused when they hear "includes 30+ new ships, 12 of which are player flyable including the Banshee".  They may think one and end up with another, that isnt so great.  (i also like to keep from conflicting storylines too much.)

The Atlas was a reskined Hygeis.  It turned the support ship into a heavy bomber with a massive payload.

Titan and Banshee- and I got bothered because people used them before me. I don't really mind, but keep in mind mine are all chalked up to be open releases for anyone, and not tied to a specific campaign like most mods.

yeah, I have a transpor called Titan in OTT, but I don't mind people using it. confusion can be created, indeed, mostly if it's two GTF bashee, for instance. if there's one , say, GTB and one GTT Titan, confusion is less easy (hard to mistake a bomber for a transport ) If people pay attentin, they'll know it's not the same ship. I'm starting to lose track of why it matters, anyway. Aside from the fact that most of these mods are for campaigns that simply will not get released until we're all wrinkly old man who have trouble remembering our grandchildrens' names, there are enough out there that someone could play a years' worth of FreeSpace user campaign and never see a name repeat.
