Ive been told that the collada support version of PCS2 will not support opening POF files.
I would like to know therefore, how i can convert a POF to a DAE file. Can this be done currently in PCS2.

Another small problem I have is when I open one of my DAE files the screen is black and the model doesnot show up.

Thanks In Advance.

I find it hard to believe that the "POF Conversion Suite 2" or PCS2 cannot open POF files?  :wtf:  :nervous:

How do you convert POF files if you can't import them into PCS2?

Someone on this forum said to me that the latest version of PCS2 with collada support does not support POF files.

It certainly wont open POF files on my computer. However the original PCS2 without collada support still opens POF files.

I'm no expert, far from it so don't take my word for it, but the title of the program suggests otherwise, or maybe it's the collada support that fubared it.

Maybe, they should rename the damn thing then!

As I understand, it is just a bug, which will be fixed sooner or later.  I have been using an older version of PCS2+DAE that loads and saves POF files fine.

Does the current version load and save PMF files?  If so, you could save the file as PMF with PCS2 2.0.3 and then convert to collada with the DAE build.

I tried it but it turns out the collada version wont open .PMF files either.

Oh ... that's a problem then.  Try this build.  It's a bit older, but I know it works.

So, is this a collada build or regular build. The regular build of mine is fine.
Its the collada build that will ONLY open .DAE files

Use the Collada build purely for DAE -> PMF/POF, and use the other one for everything else. (you can just use a regular build)
From the file name, I would assume that the link blowfish posted is an older version of collada build. You don't really need it if your regular build works, unless you want to go from POF -> DAE.

I really only want it for POF to DAE.

The build I posted should work for that.

Ok. I successfully imprted a medusa bomber into my 3D app in .DAE format. I then successfully got it running in Unreal Engine III.

However I recently tried to import a Sathanas (3.6.10 model). Its crashed everytime so far, it appeas to be crashing when converting materials.

Anyone have any idea whats going on.
