No cinematics?

I just noticed that the GOG version of FS2 does not have any cinematics at all............. Is there any way to get these?

Upgrade to FS2_Open and download the FS2OGGcutscenepack.vp.
No-one ever listens to Zathras. Quite mad, they say. It is good that Zathras does not mind. He's even grown to like it. Oh yes. -Zathras

For those who like doing things manually. .mve works in retail and FSO. .ogg works in FSO. .avi works in... separate media players.

Download the file type you want and place it in your main FS2 folder.  One of the few things you should actually place in the main folder.

The non-vp cutscenes should preferrably be placed to \freespace2\data\movies\ . If one wants to use them, that is.

Are you absolutely sure that the GOG download doesn't include the cutscenes?  I've always been under the impression that it's the full retail version of the game, and I feel like at least someone would have mentioned that fact in their forums.
