Overall a pretty good movie and sometimes outright creepy.

Spoiler:
Personally I think they got the idea for this from this whole mayan calendar 2012 super solar flare thing

Thoughts?
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Wut? That was one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life. The only reasons I enjoyed it were A) I was stoned out of my mind and B) They played the Kid Rock National Guard video beforehand.

Boystrous 19 year old temp at work slapped me in the face with an envelope and laughed it off as playful. So I shoved him over a desk and laughed it off as playful. It's on camera so I can plead reasonable force.  Temp is now passive.

  • Do try it.
I saw it the other day at a budget theater, I thought it was pretty good. The plane crash was probably the best use of SFX and Dolby Surround Sound I've seen in a while, in fact it was one of the best parts of the movie IMO. The plot was a bit scratchy in places, and me and my friend couldn't help but laugh at some of the scenes where the "Believability Factor" was cranked through the roof with over-dramatic acting. Those are only near the very end though, I liked the plot :D

There's another of those recruiting videos floating around out there, but it's from last summer.  It's even more awesome.

Bush (Verb) -- To do stupid things with confidence.

This year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union Address occurred during the same week.  This is an ironic juxtaposition of events--one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication, while the other involves a groundhog.

This is how you derail a thread from the first reply. :D

It wouldn't happen to be Citizen Soldier, would it?
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

I totally didn't mean to, either. I was just so horrified that anyone would give that movie a rating of anything above "What the **** was that ****?" Seriously, when it was over, everyone in the theater laughed.

I have to disagree. Kid Rock's prowess as a lyricist is simply unsurpassed. Exhibit A:

Oh, that's the one I was thinking of.
