How to start with SVN?
After some big delays due to modpack issues, we've decided we'd like to use SVN for the Ancient-Shivan War. Now, I've been trying to set it up all morning, looked through six different tutorials, but they're all rather 1337.

Now, I know some of you guys (SCP, SA, WCS) have experience with it; can anyone be bothered to make (or link to) a good SVN tutorial for complete newbies?

What is SVN?
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

The svn book wanderer links is a real good one, so yeah, that.

Re: How to start with SVN?
You may want to ask yourself do you really NEED an SVN? For most projects something lighter such as Mantis bugtracker is all they need.. Which HLP btw offers to hosted projects.

Re: How to start with SVN?
Well, we've got a 450+ MB modpack, which is gonna be updated quite a lot. Additionally, there are people threatening to quit if they have to do it via FTP. What would be an alternative?

Thanks for the link, Wanderer :)
