So, I'm new to the Freespace modding scene, and...

I'm really interested in getting some graphical mods, you know, making Freespace 2 look better, but honestly, I have NO idea where to start.  :confused:
I've tried looking around this site, and others, but I really have no idea what any of this jargon on the front page means... I'm sorry if i seem thick. I guess the real thing I'm asking is, where should I go, or what should I download to make FS2 look better?
