Hi everybody !

I found something weird with the keyboard in-game. I'll try to explain but I'm not english so I hope you'll understand what I'm saying. 

I'm on OSx 10.5 on a powerbook G4 with a swiss-french keyboard (qwertz)

The first time I launched the game (standard freespace 2 mod), all the keyboard commands were like on an azerty keyboard, so when I pressed "q" on my keyboard, the game thought I pressed "a".

It's not a hard problem, I just re-mapped the controls on the option screen so I can play with the keyboards commands I want.

But it's here that it's strange : I launched the game another time to continue my save. And I don't know why, but this time the game keyboard mapping has changed and now accepted my qwertz keyboard. I needed to re-map my controls on the option screen. I was happy, but not for too long...

I played a little time, completed some missions, then got to bed because it was really late ^^

The day after, I launched the game another time and the game keyboard reverted to azerty. I don't know why...

Is there anybody who has the same problem ? Is there a way to tell the game that my keyboard is qwertz and not azerty ?

It's not a very big problem but i'd like to know why it goes like this. And if I don't need to change my controls any time I launch the game, I'll be happy !

Guess what ? I launched the game again, but without any mod. And my qwertz keyboard were accepted again. Then I loaded another mod and my qwertz keyboard were always accepted !

 

I think that when I installed Wing Commander Saga, I don't know why but somehow, the game reverted it's keyboard mapping to azerty and when I used the launcher to launch the game without any mod, it accepted my qwertz keyboard again.

I hope that it can help someone who have the same problem as me. (as well as the developpers who can use this information)
