I'm looking for a way to play FSO in 1280*720 in the windowed mode, but I have no clue how to do that.
The launcher only offers modes in the aspect ratio of my TFT.


Can anybody help me out?

Would editing the registry setting work? More specifically, the Videocardfs2open setting?

Can you use 'w-' and 'h-' in the command line? I believe Windows supports something like that...forcing specific resolutions.

Strange, I have 1280x720 in my list and I have three 19" 4:3 LCDs hooked up.

You could also use the -res flag to set FSO's resolution to 1280x780. This operation would probably require you to check the GPU driver settings to make sure that it doesn't scale the image to full panel size.

Edit: Right, windowed.

The first thing I tested was the -res flag and it works.

Bear in mind that any game without 640x480 interface art will probably crash out if you try to do that.

Yeah, can't we get that fixed though?

1280x720 should be using the high res stuff, or does the 720 being < 768 actually break something?  Honestly I wish we could just scale the 1024x768 art down as well as up, then we'd never need the low res stuff again.
