Freespace won't let me select campaigns

Freespace refuses to allow me to select any campaigns other than the Freespace 2 main campaign.  Whenever I try, it beeps at me and refuses to go back to the concourse until I once again select the FS2 campaign.  This is happening regardless of which mod I have selected; I have tried it so far with Warzone, Blue Planet, the Teeth of the Tiger demo, and Derelict, and the problem is uniform throughout.

I have made no changes to the program, and it literally worked yesterday.  What gives?   :confused:

Have you created new pilots for each mod?

Yes.  The problem has, however, resolved itself; it went just as quickly as it came and with as little explanation.  I'm confused, but I'll take it.

If I remember correctly, I experienced something like that myself the last time I fired up the game.  The thing is, even though the campaign selection screen didn't dump me back to the main menu after selecting a campaign that wasn't FS2, it was still being properly selected if I escaped out manually...it just wasn't doing the automatic return to the main menu that it was supposed to.  I should probably check if RC3 does the same thing.

Well, it's doing it again, and was, again, working before, this time less than five minutes ago.  I'll try manually escaping back to the concourse.

if its any help (i doubt it but anyway)  I just had a similar problem.

Ok, I admit using the same pilot for 2 campaigns  :nervous:

I had been using the same pilot for both FSPort and ST:R without issues for a while, but today i reached a status where both campaigns were finished.

I had just finished FSPort and then I exited the game, changed mod to ST:R to go begin a few missions.  I knew the campaign was finished so i went to tech room, clicked the ST:R campaign, did the reset button and clicked commit...but it refused to do so.  I exited the menu, did it again and it worked...and I lost ALL progress on my FSPort campaign I just finished PLUS the ST:R progress i had made, making me go from a Comodorre to a Commander in an instant.

Dunno if its related to your bug though, but it just happened to me and it looks rather similar.
