@Wanderer: feature documentation
Hi wanderer, I recently found this thread:

http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,54465.0.html

The comments you wrote there are sometimes much more detailed than the ones in the wiki

also the pictures of this post:

http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,54465.msg1129510.html#msg1129510

in my opinion those pictures (or a smaller more schematic version of them) REALLY belong in the wiki. Without that picture I'd have had a really hard time understanding what turret base FOV was actually doing.

Edit: I'd add them myself but I don't know much about wiki and I don't know how to please those pictures there.

Yeah this is the kind of stuff I was hoping to get mentioned in the other thread about subobject rotations and turrets, could not remember where to find that kind of stuff.  Also, some examples of the subobject properties definitions for the different fov, uvec, fvec, etc stuff for different cases would be helpful.

Some place to document subobject flags would be nice too. I committed a couple, but I couldn't find any good place to document them in the wiki.

Re: @Wanderer: feature documentation
Man, I never noticed that was linked from the ships table article before.  Good stuff.  Couple of things, it could mention the difference between the old 'use multiple guns' and the new 'salvo mode', as I believe the old one didn't work as expected for many people, hence the new one.

Thanks, but I want to document submodel flags, not subsystem flags. :)

Re: @Wanderer: feature documentation
Hmmm.. yeah there is a need for ship modelling/pof data editing related help files for the wiki... You could possibly start one...

There are articles like http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Blender_to_POF_Conversions but not really that much anything like table file references

Re: @Wanderer: feature documentation
If somebody may paste link to ship which have for example one multipart turret at angle for example 45 deg or paste here code which will set up properly Uvec and Fvec for this kind of turret. It will be really nice and help so much community   :)
