Yea, british comedy really sucks. Give me the good, original US sitcom. Something really funny and never seen before, say, let's have a family, mom, dad, and a few kids all living under the same roof and being hilarious.. add annoying "comic relief" character with a really weird voice, add water and shake. That's so much better then the comedy shows of people who gave us Monty Pythons, Black Adder, Only Fools & Horses, etc..

Probably the best "semi-foreign" commedy I can think of is Red Green. We're not too far off from our neighbors to the north!

Peep Show is one of the funniest comedies on TV at the moment. But it's not going to be to everybody's taste cause it is quite an odd program.

Not to mention that it's almost impossible to quote from the show and have people who haven't seen it get why it's funny.
