Keeping in mind that most of this has been made in-game it is truly an acheivement. But we CAN and WILL do better, Gmod has made agood space sim, we will make it great! I have yet to see an Orion flying around, heck i've not even seen something that even looks like an Apollo. Space build has promise, i can only ask you to try it out, see if you can make something from FS and post here to tell us about it.

it had been pretty fun, but i have only played it once or twice since 3.4? its on steam now, so don't really pay attention to dev's stated version number.

I started playing a few months ago when, believe it or not, somebody mentioned it on this very board.  I'm just barely competent on the FPS side (getting better) but the space flight feels quite FS like and was easy to get the grip of, shame that there isn't a combined roll/yaw like Freespace's but I'm getting by OK.

Anyhoow, back OT.  The vid in the second link in the fist post, that's my handywork.  I never did finish it and I would have to build it from scratch again as all the addons have progressed past the point where my dupe is quite incompatible, any besides, under real world conditions (IE, in multiplayer) the boarding lift would glitch out like crazy once you jump on it.

those graphics look better than i remember, espicially as infantry.
still, i stopped because i could not find a server with a good enough connection, -or- enough people as initially after it was steam'd

I've only seen lag as a problem on two servers.  One where it has been playing the same map for months without a restart and one where the infantry section was glitched to heck and back, but the rest of the time it's the smoothest multiplayer experience I have ever had.

Practically none at all.  My pings are rarely above 150.  Bare in mind that the servers I usually join are UK/EU based.
