Old campaign vanilla versions
Unfortunately because SCP for some inexplicable reason doesn't work on my machine (i just get a black screen), and a new computer is not on the horizon for the next several years. None the less I would like to replay Warzone, Derelict, and Aeos Affair for old times sake. Anyone got the VPs of the originals lying around?

Re: Old campaign vanilla versions
Thanks. Surprisingly they are not longer available for download, having been replaced by the SCP versions.

If NathanP doesn't have them, I probably still have them lying around somewhere.  I was under the impression that FSMods still had the retail version of at least Derelict, though.

More generally, have you ever tried to get together with one of the SCP types and figure out why you're getting nothing but black screens?  If you can manage to get a debug build to produce an error bug, that'd probably be a great first step.

Rogue Intentions is a retail campaign.
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

I'll try one of the older builds and see where that gets me.

When I have time I'll give it a shot.

Re: Old campaign vanilla versions
The FreeSpace Oracle website has a link to the original Derelict Campaign.

Normal people believe that if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Engineers believe that if it isn't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.
The difference between Mechanical Engineers and Civil Engineers is:
Mechanical Engineers build weapons.  Civil Engineers build targets
An optimist sees the glass half full; the pessimist sees it half empty. An engineer sees that the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Re: Old campaign vanilla versions
Kosh, if you have problems getting FSO to run, there's this convenient Support board somewhere around here. I hear there are at least some people there who actually try to get it working for most people.
Of course, it could just be a rumour. Personally, I have never heard of anyone who actually would go there.

I know all about that, but often I'm only really able to even play at night, by which time I am tired from dealing with other things and quite frankly most of the time I just don't want to mess with it. I'm pretty sure it is an issue with my computer, once in a while it does other wierd stuff.

So any success in finding the other ones?

Re: Old campaign vanilla versions
I think the only one you mentioned that hasn't been linked is Warzone.  Enjoy.

(Someone really needs to get these things up on FSMods.)

Re: Old campaign vanilla versions
Hello Kosh,
What a kind of computer you have?
My Computer is old too (Athlon64 1 Gig Ram, ATI Radeon X800pro (only Pixel shader 2.0) but works fine with SCP !!

Your display drivers are up to date?.
I think it must be possible to find your blackscreen problem  and fix them.

Do you have the official or newer 3.6.10 (3.6.11 Nightly)build? + 3.6.10 Mediavps ??
