As a younger chap, my favorite things to do with a computer were threefold:
(A.) Fly flight sims.
(B.) Play strategy games.
(C.) Play role-playing games.
And all of this on the Mac. And let me tell you, there was some darn cool stuff out there.

For RPGs, my programs of choice were by this fantastic little company called Spiderweb Software, from whom I enjoyed great games like Avernum and Nethergate. Sure, the graphics were old-school, but that just made gameplay
far more awsome - the story and the things you did in the story were the main draw. I'm sure several of the Mac users on the HLP have played or at least heard of a Spiderweb game...
And so, as I've always loved the works of Jeff Vogel, founder and lead stuff-doing guy of Spiderweb, I decided to give the site a visit today to see what's up. After searching the "news" section for some fresh ideas (in truth, I'd be more interested in Jeff making up a new continuity than playing a further development of a given story), I found this blog entry. I post this here as, in a way, I'm reminded of the HLP when I read about using the same, good old reliable assets time and time again to make a great story. Here's the entry:
