FS1_Brief1 re-composition ("Remix")
YouTube version...

A result of learning how to use FL Studio; I searched the presets to find samples I liked and tweaked them a bit. Based off the "JoeyX" version of the song.

Comments appreciated! ;)

"Futureproofing" If the link dies or you want higher quality PM me and I will email/upload somewhere...

Edit: *sigh* at attachments issue. I'll have to upload it somewhere...

Sorry for finding an ad site - they weren't there when I first found it: Here is the song at Newgrounds

The only thing I might have to say against this is that the intro was rather weak and then drums as a whole need more oompf, but maybe you were trying to go that route. Ignore that if that's the case. Besides that, I felt it was good.

I did have a bit of trouble with that - I just couldn't get the bass right. Problem is, the last edit was done in the demo mode of FL (had some ideas and wasn't near my home computer), so I can only add stuff to the wave file...

Thanks for the feedback guys :)

Re: FS1_Brief1 re-composition ("Remix")
This is one excellent re-composition, Enigmatic.

Not only have you got it recreating the beat of the default one, but you've got it creating an atmospheric and calming feel to it. It also works brilliantly in-game; I tested it in a briefing for Silent Threat: Reborn.

Thumbs up on this

I agree with the above comments.  Nice work, Enigmatic. :)

Like the fist bit of it, the bass fitted my sennheiser headset perfectly. Well done mate!  ;7

Re: FS1_Brief1 re-composition ("Remix")
As you wish, Terran. I can't really say no anyway, since it isn't an original by me :)

A note - the song has ~35Hz bass drums - I think I made this too low, since I was using in-ear phones, and 35Hz seems "punchy" with them, but 60Hz -90Hz fits better on most speakers :doubt: Plus the end has too much bass.

By the way, you must be pleased you finally finished that LP campaign...  ;7

Well done! The instruments/sounds you chose were bang on!
FL Studio is a really powerful tool, especially if you have the right generators (not to mention lots of fun). I should really try some remixes of my own...
