Site says this version is shareware, I've not yet installed the thing so am not sure what restrictions are in place.

Worth a look though for the price

Re: ZBrush - 3D prog, shareware
I remember this software, a lot of big game studios use it in addition to 3DS Max to do some really crazy work with making UV maps (and generating lower poly meshes and their corresponding normalmaps).

I really wish I could afford this, but I suppose the shareware version can suffice.
Who uses forum signatures anymore?

Re: ZBrush - 3D prog, shareware
ZBrush eh? If I recall ZBrush is still used in the professional industry however I believe it is utterly useless for anything less than organic ships in Freespace 2. I have used ZBrush before and I highly stress it is NOT good for geometric looking models. Additionally ZBrush cannot truly be used to its full extent without a tablet slate or tabletPC. I am unsure of how many here have either so in my personal opinion ZBrush should be generally avoided unless it involves something organic in Freespace 2. Course this is considering the FS modding community, if you just want ZBrush, have at thee.
I have created a masterpiece.
