TS1 and texture offsets
Here is my truespace1 problem:

I texture the model, making liberal use of the UOffset and VOffset values in order to get the textures lined up properly on the faces.  I save the model, but the offset values are not saved properly, and the next time I reload the model in truespace or try to convert it to pof, the offset values on all textures have been reset to 0.1 and 0.1.

I believe I once got the offset values to be saved, but that version of the model had to be scraped, and I've never again been able to figure out how I did it that one time.

I tried saving as ASCII and manually editing it in wordpad, but then PCS doesn't like it.

Any solutions?

Yes, but how do I fix it/work around it?

You can't. You have to live with it if using TS1.
Modify the textures (images) so that no offset be needed.
Let's say you want to texture one side of a model with a text (ship name, whatewer) on it. If the text doesn't show up in the right position, open the texture file in Corel or whatewer you are using and move the text. Looking at the first result in TS1 you can usually judge how the texture should be modified.

That's the only way in TS1.
