Transfer subobjects from one pof to another
Is it possible to transfer a subobject (turrets) from one pof to another pof without converting them to a different file type? In any case what program(s) do I need to do it?

My goal is to equip an Orion with those beam turrets the Hecate has on its front.

You can do that in PCS2. Go to the SubObjects section, click Load at the top, select the .pof you want to import from, and then select the object you want to import. If the object has turrets or paths assigned to that, you will be asked to import those as well.

I suggest using Spicious' version since you can rotate and scale subobjects using that one. I don't have the link handy, so have a look in his signature.

Newest PCS2:
http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~samm/pcs2.7z
Required DLLS:
http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~samm/dlls.7z

These are the files you need for the newest PCS2 just put all the files in the same folder. To rotate subobjects use the transform tool.
