Nation of Tears - Iraq

I'm trying to find some description, but the title speaks for itself. It's easy to become detached from this stuff, just reading the casualty reports. It's quite another to actually see the sheer pain and agony that they cause the survivors.

wow. . .i dont have any words to say. . .but your right, its all to easy to become detached. Ive never heard or seen anything even close to this. you hear about the concepts. And from here in the west so far away we hear about the concepts and it sounds like things are slowly getting better. . . .hearing this. . .and seeing the people on the ground there. . ..its hard to see how it is. . .

Yeahs, and Battuta also has a link to read the thing online. I've read parts and seen a bit of the tv series. In addition to that, 'War', by Sebastian Junger is another good read on that kind of stuff that I'd recommend.

I'll second War, it's a quick read but its pretty powerful stuff.
