Good evening/morning/whatever your timezone dictates. I hope everybody has been well. I wouldn't know I haven't really checked-in in quite a while. My name is Jabba (not really, it is Brad but for the sake of anonymosity - lol) and I am supposed to be making a ground-breaking super campaign titled Project" 'Megaton'.
Well, now I can make a start. Well, technically I should have started a while ago, and I know this is going to sound like excuses, but I moved house (out of my control) into a fringe area where there was no adsl and to make matters worse, wireless broadband and general mobile communications were poor. I previously formatted due to lack of virus protection and I had no stable way of downloading everything again. So I just put everything on hold, played lots of single player games, and now here I am re-announcing what should have been probably well and truly on the way to being finished, nonetheless, my campaign - Project: 'Megaton'.
I am sure that many of you probably have forgotten, or really couldn't care if it were to be completed or not. That's cool. By the way things appear to have been going many of you have been playing games and working hard on improvements. Nice! I will endevour to be part of the community if it helps and may ask a question or two regarding FREDing. I will go back and do the tutorials again and commence dummy practice mission branching and things in test campaigns. You see I thought that maybe I have could just not worry about it and go and play Evochron Mercenary or something, but I have this idea. It keeps nagging at me. Plus I must repay what has brought me so much joy for so long. Nothing can offer what this game brought and community contributions are absolutely amazing. I will be replaying the main campaigns, favourite user campaigns and a whole bunch of new ones I haven't tried before. I have even managed to get some friends re-interested in good ol' Freespace.
New house, new adsl, new pc (well not really it's just been assembled a bit differently) and a new attitude now that I have reliable resources at hand, it's about time I make my contributions to the Freespace universe and the people who help it continue. It's irreplaceable!
PS: I get a bit weird, late night on the keyboard...
