I noticed that, when downloaded with the Turey Installer, a lot of older campaigns have a secondary list that points to "mediavps". Is this still done for compatibility reasons or should they all be pointing to meadiavps_3612 instead?  I changed it for Derelict and it made a huge difference graphically so I went through and changed all of them.

Not all mods are 100% compatible with newer mediavps, so change mod.ini at your own risk.

Not a problem. I just wanted to point it out in case the files needed to be updated for the installer, but I guess if there could be compatibility issues...

If I do run into any issues, I'm assuming I can just download 3.6.10 into \Freespace2\mediavps and change the secondary list back to mediavps.

Yep, basically. Except I think Turey's already downloads both sets of mediaVPs.
