Oh I forgot, this is Geriatric Discussion. 

Anyway, I can think of some reasons why the Netherlands was singled out. One, it happened passed some law recently that a conservative website picked up on. Two, it's small and obscure enough (no offense to the Dutch) that no one is likely to say, "Hey, I just went on vacation there and I didn't see those bracelets anywhere!" Or if they did vacation there, they're liberals because it had to be for the weed and hookers.

It did? I thought the anti-immigrant anti-muslim stance the Netherlands has been taking the past few years would appeal to the conservatives in the USA. Do you have any idea of any law in particular in recent times?

Wasn't there some law mentioned in the article? Otherwise, I don't know.
