I have a problem with Youtube's uploading system.
So here's it; I record an online game with Fraps, which turns out to be extremely large (entire Gigabytes for a 5-minute video), so I compress it via VirtualDub. The process itself is already rather time consuming, taking about 20-30 minutes for a video. So I delete the enormous uncompressed video and replace it with the compressed one. It is in my knowledge that .wmv is the most reliably compatible format to upload, so I use Youtube downloader to quickly convert the .avi to .wmv. Unfortunately it downgrades the quality (Resolution change?) so I quit it and download another video converter.
Thankfully, the quality change doesn't occur anymore. BUT to my frustration, the uploading process apparently takes forever; the progress bar rapidly fills up at first, but stops at a certain percentage. Then it seems to have frozen; after checking for probably more than an hour it still stays!
I try and use Youtube downloader instead to convert it to .wmv since I remember it working that way before. And it DID! But I noticed the pathetic quality and decided to quit it. I have tried to look for numerous sites on how to solve but either they don't solve my problem or are too complicated to understand.
So I try and with doubt in my mind, just upload the .avi and let it do the job even if I know it may take forever. But after checking for SEVERAL hours, it DID work! It's done!

Unfortunately, I try another video just in case the stopping will not happen again. But it DID, to my great annoyance, and I decided to quit it again.
Is there ANY WAY at all to stop this irritating phenomenon from lengthening the already time-consuming process of compressing, converting, and uploading Fraps recorded videos?? I am asking this forum since I believe there are quite a lot of techies here.
I await your response and thank you in advance for your valuable advice.
